It has been a while! But I suppose I'll pick up the slack with some burrowing wols from the Smithsonian National Zoo:

An owl decides it would like to see some soccer. From on top of the goalie's cage.

BTW, in case anyone needs help with embedding video: If the site where you found the video supports embedding, somewhere there will be a place where the embedding code is. Find the code and copy it. Now, on Dreamwidth, on the posting screen there should be a button saying "embed media." Click on this, and in the box that appears, paste in the code and click insert. It should insert the code between site-embed HTML tags.

I am finding it hard to concentrate, so instead of embeds, which I haven't yet learned how to do, you have links, which I already know how to do.

This video by the Arizona Game and Fish Department introduces a species of owl which lives underground. The video features owl chicks in their sandy burrow. Here is a burrowing owl at bay. Note how it clicks its beak, a defensive gesture in many owls. Much happier are these newly fledged babies playing outside - these ones are in Florida, not Arizona.

Finally, here is a Page about Burrowing Owls, picked out specifically for this picture of a ridiculously cute baby burrowing owl.

I hope you enjoyed these, despite the extra work involved in seeing them.
